Island Vacation

Hello. I just wanted to give a glimpse of our new “Island Vacation” Sugar Scrub, available at Fragrance Cafe’
I so enjoyed putting this one together. I took the fragrance that we selected, phalate free of course, and blended it with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, and all I can say is WOW!
It takes your mind away to some place exotic. We add organic cane sugar, and Grapefruit Seed Extract. Indulge your senses with this scrub, we may have to make a lotion or body butter with this scent because is just that beautiful.
How about a delicate and masterful blend of grapefruit zest, succulent, and juicy mango, and sandalwood. This description pales in comparison to how beautiful the scent is in this scrub.

Love My Face

This is just a simple facial scrub that I actually created for myself. Pure Coconut Oil (unscented), Lemongrass EO, and Cedarwood EO. I like the way the Coconut Oil moisturizes my skin after I rinse the scrub off.

Cedarwood EO is an astringent. It’s good for acne, eczema, and oily skin. Lemongrass EO is a bactericidal, an anti-oxidant and anti-septic just to name a few. Plus I love the smell of Lemon Grass EO.

I like not having to apply pressure or scrub the scrub off my face because the product is too heavy. I made this scrub just to treat myself to something special that I know will do exactly what I need it to do and nothing extra. I have experienced a couple really harsh store bought scrub and that’s why I made this. I normally just use my little face brush to exfoliate, but like I said, this is for when I want to give myself a little treat.

What are some ways you “love your face”? Do you use anything special? Why did you choose that particular thing? I’d love to hear from you.

What’s That Smell?

So, I’m sitting at my desk earlier today just going through some old papers and emails. I got a whiff of a fragrance that caused me to stop and look around for a moment. It was sweet like fruit, but a little spicy and fresh all at the same time.
I smelled my own hands and wrists to see if I had tried something on earlier and maybe it was still lingering, but nothing was there.
I got up and walked around my apartment from the living room, through the kitchen and into the bedroom, but nothing smelled familiar from what I smelled while sitting at my desk.
Ok so, anyway I go back and sit at my desk to finish doing what I was doing and within a few minutes I smelled this fragrance again. This time I’m sure it’s sweet like fruit (sugary fruit), but a little spicy and fresh all at the same time. The fact that I keep smelling this fragrance says to me, “it’s time to blend.” I love when this happens because once I start pulling out the fragrant notes and begin comparing, smelling, taking notes, blending and re-blending, it always ends in something so unique to me that I could hardly believe it. This could take a few days or could lead to months and drag on for a couple years just to get to the perfect fragrance, but the journey to me is one that I love to take and love to take often.

Summer…Smells so refreshing!

This fragrance was inspired by an old Avon fragrance that I really use to love. I wanted it to be more fresh than sweet, but one can pick up on both the fresh and the sweet. With notes of coconut, bergamot, french vanilla, woodtones, and a slight hint of amber it is one that can be enjoyed everyday.

I called it “Summer” because when I smell it that’s what it reminds me of so, I figured…why deviate from that? LOL.

This is just one of our many blends. One of my favorites to wear in the summer, not too heavy, but not so light that it disappears with the first wind.

You can get this fragrance and others at Fragrance Cafe’ on Facebook.

Cool Jasmine

ImageOk I’ve blended another Jasmine fragrance and I call it Cool Jasmine because this one isn’t as heavy as our Jasmine Fusion, as far as weather related fragrances go, and to me that’s what makes it Cool.

It’s pure perfume oils of Jasmine, with some woody and citrus notes, and vanilla absolute to make it a little creamy.  I like it enough to wear myself….I normally don’t wear Jasmine fragrances and my creations of them are for my clients, but I would actually wear this one too.  So, I guess you could say I now have two Jasmine Fragrances that I wear, but the thing is…..I created them :-).
