Okay so, I haven’t written much of anything in a while. Trust me it is NOT due to lack of things to write about. LOL…there is a ton of things going on that I wish not to be going on, and a ton more of things that I wish were going on, but are NOT.

I have been doing alot of research for some product sources and resources for suppliers of things that I need to create new body butters, ointments, and other products for Fragrance Cafe’. That keeps me so occupied that by the end of the day after marketing as much as possible, research, and note taking I’m too exhausted to write anything but Hello and Good Night.

Anyway, I have come to a small delima. We create our body butters out of some pretty delicate butters and oils. We have clients and friends, out of state, that want to order our products, but I hate, really hate shipping our butters in the warmer summer months. I mean just imagine you order a body butter and by the time it gets to you, it’s body soup, LOL! Yes, our clients are happy to throw it right into the fridge to bring it back to being solid, but I just rather that they wouldn’t have to go through that.
Is there anybody else out there that has these types of products and face the same problem? If so, what are you doing about it? I really need some other options here.

I look forward to your helpful comments.

Wear Your Rice!

I Tried some Rice Bran Oil on my body this morning instead of my favorite lotion…I really like the way it feels on my skin. It’s not heavy and absorbs pretty easily. A plus is that it will not clog pores and it’s high in antioxidants and tocotrienols (the good stuff in vitamin E).

From what I’ve read it has properties that help to protect your skin from harmful UVB rays. I’m trying it for a month to see how it treats my skin. I’m looking for it to keep me soft and smooth which attributes to younger looking skin.

This one has the potential to become a favorite of mine right along with grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and evoo.

What are some oils that you use and what do you like best about them?

Robyn Peoples

I posted “Naturally Good” about one of our products that we create with all natural ingredients. We created this product to not only moisturize the skin, but to actually have skin renewal capabilities and softening properties.

I’m doing this post because I myself had a moment where I needed something to help with a special little rash that I developed on top of both my hands. I had my hands in some water with a few cleaning products for a couple days straight and paid the price with the skin on my hands becoming irritated.
When it first started I just dealt with it by putting some really good lotion on it, but that just wasn’t working for me. So, one day I sat down to the computer and began doing some research on some natural ways to heal the rash and make my skin smooth again.
I think I…

Cool Jasmine

ImageOk I’ve blended another Jasmine fragrance and I call it Cool Jasmine because this one isn’t as heavy as our Jasmine Fusion, as far as weather related fragrances go, and to me that’s what makes it Cool.

It’s pure perfume oils of Jasmine, with some woody and citrus notes, and vanilla absolute to make it a little creamy.  I like it enough to wear myself….I normally don’t wear Jasmine fragrances and my creations of them are for my clients, but I would actually wear this one too.  So, I guess you could say I now have two Jasmine Fragrances that I wear, but the thing is…..I created them :-).

OMG Moments Blog

Product Review-Alba Botanica

Hello, Every now and then I like to share information on things that I use in my daily life. Whether it be perfume, perfume oils, household cleaners or items, décor ideas, skin care, etc. I just like to share information when I find out about a good thing or a great thing just to maybe shed some light on things to others, or give them another look at something that they may already know about.
Earlier this year I bought some Alba Botanic Extra Emollient Body Lotion. Since I always wear perfume oils, I bought the unscented. I have been using this for the last 3 months and I absolutely love it. The feel of the lotion itself and the effect it has on my skin is great. I find that after a shower I don’t have to reapply latter in the day as with most commercial products, but the moisture lasts all day. I just like the way it feels on my skin so sometimes I apply more just because.
I also find that it is great for massage. I used it to give my hubby a massage and it doesn’t leave that greasy feel on the skin. The ingredients in this lotion treat my skin to the TLC that I like to give it every day. I must say that this is the best lotion I have used in a long time. I recommend it to everyone. It’s vegetarian, and all natural.

A Few Good Things

Happy Monday! For those that don’t read this on Monday, Happy Whatever Today is To You! 🙂

I have decided to do a post about a couple more items that we at Fragrance Cafe’ have created that are made with all natural ingredients.

It’s a part of our “First the Natural” Body Care Line and we hope it is just the beginning of things all natural for us.

“Love My Face” Custom Shea Cream. Created to bring healing and moisturization to your skin. Originally created for my husband who suffered with sometimes inflammed, itchy, and pealing skin. Once he had a break out so severe that he shaved all of the hair off of his face…I felt so bad so, I prayed and asked God to give me something to help him, whether it was something that we could buy or something that I could create to help him. God chose the latter I went to work with research and creating. I came up with a cream and at first I was reluctant to tell him that I created something for him, but I handed it to him and said “try this on your face baby.” He began using the cream and after a week he said he loved how it made his face feel. I haven’t seen him suffer any inflammation or irritation since he started using the cream. I was so happy that he was happy.
Then a friend of his at his job complained of a skin problem and he recommended (stamp of approval for me) she try what I created for him. She did and is now a permanent client.
“Love My Face” Healing/Moisturizing Shea Cream is created for dry or combination skin that also suffers from occasional peeling, and inflammation of the skin. Ingredients: Raw African Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Vetiver Essential Oil, Cornstarch. We do not add any preservatives. This product is created in small batches to insure freshness. We only test on humans. 🙂
